Renaud Program

The application for The Renaud Program is now open, and students entering 9th-12th grades are invited to apply!

The Renaud Program is a week-long, intensive story-telling and documentary filmmaking program for Pulaski County students entering grades 9th – 12th. The Renaud Program was created in honor of storyteller Brent Renaud, an award-winning documentary filmmaker who devoted his life to telling the stories of others. Renaud was murdered by Russian troops on March 13, 2022; he was in Ukraine to cover the refugee crisis and to capture the story of those Ukrainian civilians fleeing their home country following the invasion of Russia.

Brent and his brother, Craig, have made a number of documentaries including Dope Sick Love, Last Chance High, Off to War, and Meth Storm. Several of their documentaries have won major awards in the film industry.

The Renaud Program will center around telling the stories of others, including ethics, subject matter, interview techniques, writing, videography and editing. Professionals in the fields of journalism, literature, photography, and cinematography will serve as guest instructors and mentors to students in the program.

The Renaud Program is co-sponsored by The Anthony School, an alma mater of the Renaud brothers, and The Brent Renaud Foundation, and will be held on the campus of The Anthony School June 17th-21st.
