Whole Foods has graciously chosen The Anthony School for a
garden grant! Denise Albert, ParentCrew Board Donations Chair, wrote and
applied for the grant in February. After a long process of waiting, the good news
came just before spring break. The Whole Kids Foundation $2000 grant will be
applied to providing outdoor garden enrichment for every child at TAS (PreK3-8th
grade!). This grant supports outdoor
edible gardens that help children understand how food is grown, what resources
it takes to grow foods, and how garden cultivated fruits and vegetables can
taste so good! The mission of the Whole Kids Foundation is to inspire change in
kids’ eating habits. Please check out the Whole Kids Foundation website for
more information: www.wholekidsfoundation.org.
Special thanks to Denise Albert for her dedication and hard
work in making this a reality for the children and families of The Anthony
School!
