This past fall, The Anthony School Board of Trustees undertook the launching of a campaign to cover planned exciting enhancements that fall both outside our budget and outside the revenue from our Annual Fund. We are planning for a digital upgrade to our security system. We are looking to purchase additional laptops and iPads for our students and teachers as we extend our coding curriculum to include computer science and computational thinking.
We are also attempting to pay down the debt on our most recent building that houses our cafeteria, kitchen, stage, science lab and upper middle school classrooms; that was the goal of our last capital campaign – a dozen years ago – that got stopped dead in its tracks with the market crash of ’08. Fifty percent of funds raised will go towards reducing that debt while the other fifty percent will be placed towards our security upgrades, new technology and subsequent curriculum enhancements.
Due to gifts already donated to this campaign, we have been able to purchase Wi-Fi extenders to boost our network access to all corners of our campus as we have seen the need to take classrooms outdoors during the pandemic.
Being a part of this school is nothing short of inspiring. Everyday yields the opportunity for ideas and growth. Authentic creativity abounds within these walls. We are fully present each day as we educate our students; we are, at all times, both “in the moment” and planning for the future of our school and its students. Our students will be ready for the world when they graduate from The Anthony School!
Please join us in supporting this endeavor. Generous gifts and pledges can advance The Anthony School as we move forward toward our centennial year.
