Volleyball

Girls in the fifth through eighth grades can participate in volleyball. The season begins early in the school year and is completed by mid-October.

The volleyball coach schedules elementary volleyball practices and games. This schedule must be coordinated with the middle school. Elementary volleyball is an introduction to the sport and basic fundamentals. The girls play an intramural schedule with only a few matches outside school.

Middle school girls play both public and private schools. Middle school participants have a chance to improve their skills and compete at a higher level. It is the sole intent of this program to give young ladies a knowledge and confidence about volleyball that will enable them to try out for a varsity team once they graduate from Anthony.
