Great news! We now have a compost tumbler! It is located behind Caroline’s art room outside by the storage shed. Food and yard waste can be put into the composter, rather than the landfill in a plastic bag. The soil is produced is rich in nutrients for your yard (it can be put right onto your grass), garden, or flower beds. It is also much cheaper to make your own compost than to go to the garden store and buy it.
Things that can go into a compost bin include paper, newspaper, paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, leaves, grass, tea bags, coffee grounds, coffee filters, fruit and veggie scraps, and fruit peels.
Things that CANNOT go into the compost bin include meat, fish, dairy, citrus fruit insides, and plastic.
