Middle School Division

Middle School Division

The Anthony Middle School maintains high academic standards and cooperation among the administration, teachers, students, parents, and community. The curriculum is specifically designed to challenge Middle School students. Students follow a seven period class day that includes the core subjects.

Teachers present material orally, visually, and kinesthetically as often as possible. Attention is given to individual learning styles, and accommodations for advanced learners, and those who require more explanation of concepts, are made according to student needs. We have high expectations within the bounds of each student for his/her success.

Anthony School students participate in National Honor Society, DUKE Tips, National Geography Bee, Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee and the National French and Spanish Exams for Middle School students. Additional activities include Student Council, drama productions, and community service.

Our Middle School students also have opportunities to participate in a variety of sports through our membership in the Private School League and The Arkansas Activities Association, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, cross country, track, golf and cheerleading.

As evidence of our high standards and degree of preparation, area high schools welcome Anthony graduates, and the high schools routinely visit during the 8th grade year for recruitment. Our graduates have attended Parkview High School, Central High School, Pulaski Academy, Mount St. Mary Academy, Catholic High School for Boys, and Episcopal Collegiate School with great success and smooth transitions.
