Founded:   1944 by Jeanne and Allen Anthony

Mission:   The Anthony School's mission is to educate children ages three through eighth grade in a challenging, loving environment which empowers them to become efficient, independent, excited learners.
Accreditations:   Accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (ANSAA) and the North Central Association (NCA)
Memberships:   National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and Arkansas Activities Association (AAA)

Enrollment:   410 students enrolled in grades PreK3 through 8th Grade

Faculty:   Dedicated, experienced faculty members hold advanced degrees and specialty certifications.
Curriculum:   Academically accelerated curriculum in all grades
Pre-Kindergarten:   Early skills development includes phonics, reading, math, Spanish, PE, music, computer and art.
Elementary and Middle School Curriculum:   Emphasizes research and writing skills, critical thinking, and application of concepts and knowledge to solve problems across subject areas.
Foreign Languages:   Spanish (Prek3-8th Grade) required; French (7th & 8th grades) optional
Technology in Core subjects:   Math, Science, History/Social Studies, Language Arts/Writing, and Reading Comprehension/Literature include Internet research, science projects, PowerPoint presentations, Inspiration visual mapping and outlines.
Technology:   The school provides 2 wireless mobile labs with 25 laptops each for fifth through eighth grade Internet research, writing activities, and presentations.  The library houses a SMART Table for Early Childhood students, and SMART Boards are used in 21 elementary and Middle School classrooms.
Fine Arts:   Music, visual arts, drama, speech, theatrical and musical productions. Violin is a required part of the music curriculum in 1st & 2nd grade.
Optional Enrichment Classes:   Gymnastics (PreK-2nd Grade)
Violin (3rd Grade -8th)
     
Athletics:   Boys' and girls' basketball, volleyball, football, golf, soccer, bowling, cross country, tennis, track and cheerleading. PE is included in the curriculum PreK3 - 8th grades. Participating in the President's Physical Fitness Challenge is a requirement.
Leadership:   Skills are developed through the following activities: Athletics, Student Government, Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Anthony School News, Science Fair Projects, Reading Buddies, Ambassador Program, Cheerleading, Theatrical Productions and Musical Programs
Community Projects:   All students are involved in charitable community projects throughout the year.
