5th Grade Music

5th grade music combines movement, singing, dancing, African drumming, and playing the Orff (barred) instruments to create a sound foundation in music.
My favorite listening unit-10 Spookiest songs from Classical music.  Students vote on their choice for the No. 1 spot and state reasons why the music sounded so scary.
Join us on December 14 at the Rockefeller Cancer Center.  5th graders will sing to the patients, staff and visitors at 10:30.

My husband, Rick, and I have 2 daughters. Sarah lives in Fayetteville, and Laura is a teacher here at TAS. I have 5 grandchildren, Lily(9), Hudson(8), Caroline(5), Claire(3), and Cate (2).  I love being a grandmother!!!   Lily is in the fourth grade this year, her seventh year at The Anthony School. Claire is beginning her first year here at Anthony in thePre-K 3 program.  Both of my daughters were students here at The Anthony School, also. Our family and the Anthony school have been closely connected for many years!
